Chapter 7 - Lose Myself (III)

Louie followed her instantly out of the emergency room as he grabbed a hold of her arm. Friya stopped abruptly while she was sobbing through and she didn't know what to say. Louie pulled her closer and he draped his arm immediately around her. Friya didn't know what to do but cry as she sobbed through his chest. Louie soothed her hair as much as he can as he shushed her.

Friya cried as she wrapped her arms around Louie's waist. She cuckooed her head through his shoulders while they both hugged each other. Louie sighed as he unclasped his arms from her head and he swept the loose strands of her hair aside from her face.

Friya was still crying as she closed her eyes while Louie asked, "What happened? Please, tell me, what happened to Sean that made you cry like that? Did something happened earlier that caused the accident?"

Friya sobbed as she shook her head repetitively and couldn't utter any word. Louie knew that it was not the right time to ask about it, thus, he just draped his arms through her once again as Friya howled through his chest. He knew that the girl he had been loving for years now had been hurting so much since she started her relationship with Sean 10 years ago.

Louie tightened his hold through her as the wind gusted louder outside of San Miguel's Hospital, the trees rustling and the cars on the Bella's Main Highway had been filled with honking vehicles in the middle of the night. Friya didn't know what to do as she sobbed.

After minutes, they both unclasped their arms with each other as Louie patted her head once again. He muttered, "We should sit down. I'll buy some coffee for you."

Friya looked up at him with those devastating eyes and she just nodded as Louie quickly stepped ahead of him. She was standing on the outside of the lot as the tears welled up in her eyes. She did not know what to do as she sobbed and felt numb about the way she was standing on the lot, alone, while Sean was inside the hospital.

After a few minutes, Louie muttered that they should sit down on the bench by the lot while holding cups of coffee. Friya was the first one to sit down on the bench while Louie was giving him the cup. She mumbled a thank you as she took a sip. The wind blew the cold breeze through as the afternoon passed and the darkness consumed the whole place. The lights had been turned on the lot and the insides of the hospital were properly lit.

Louie took a sip first before turning to her slowly. He licked his bottom lip as he asked, "What happened, Friya? Did you two developed some arguments or what?"

Friya swallowed as she took another drink from the coffee while clearing her throat. She rubbed the shiny surface of the cup while saying, "We had a fight early in the morning."

Louie propped his elbows by his knees as he peeked at how sad her face was. The tears brimmed in her eyes as she said, "I found out something. I never knew I would develop that kind of argument towards him for the past ten years that we had been together."

Louie opened his mouth slightly as he asked, "What was it?"

Friya closed her eyes tightly as the tears fell down from her eyes. She didn't know if she could say it to him. Louie had been her guy best friend since they were in high school, and he knew how to read her mind in just a second. Friya sobbed as she slowly shifted her eyes towards Louie's and mumbled, "Sean had been... Sean had been cheating behind my back."

She finally muttered it that made Louie raised his eyebrows and he was surprised by what he heard. He looked the other way as he swallowed and furrowed his eyebrows because he knew that Sean couldn't do it. Friya's voice croaked beside him as she drank a few from the cup while she sniffed loudly. She wiped her nose as she looked the other way while crying.

"Sean... Sean cheated on you?" Louie asked once again and Friya breathed out first before nodding slowly. Louie scoffed quietly beside her as he remembered the pact that they both made. Sean promised that he won't hurt Friya. But right now, his promise was broken.

"I never knew that... this kind of situation was going to happen... if I knew, I wouldn't...," Friya whispered as Louie stared at her. He pursed his lips and he knew what Friya was talking about. She wanted to go back to Sean even though she was aware of what he had done. Louie closed his eyes as he brushed his hands through his forehead by what he had heard.

"I wouldn't say those words to him if I knew this will happen," Friya cried out as she remembered her words earlier. It was painful to bear if it was someone like Sean, who was soft-hearted when it comes to things like this. She knew what Sean looked like when he was in pain. Louie just listened to her, and he knew that any advice that he would say will not be effective since Friya's heart and mind had been wounded from what happened to her dear love.

"Louie, I... I regretted what I said earlier, and I knew that I never had the chance to take it back," Friya turned to him with her raised voice and she was pointing to herself. Louie knew that she was blaming her words for what happened to Sean, and she was guilty of the accident.

"I should have never said that I didn't love him for the years we had been together," Friya mumbled while closing her eyes tightly and placing her hands right through her face. Her shoulders were shaking and she doesn't know what to do. She sobbed through and she shook her head repetitively as she couldn't believe what she had done. She covered her mouth with her hand for a second while Louie slid a bit closer to her and draped his arm around her.
