Chapter 81 - Best Friend and Idea

Gelu was towering over Kazzy as she glared at her with ice in her sapphire blue eyes. All while Kazzy froze and didn't respond until Gelu slowly raised her hand as a ghastly white looking fire flickered above her finger.

"A lot of awesome things that would have helped my bestest friend and your disciple, what it's not like some of them were all important." Kazzy quickly replied as when she saw and felt the soul rendering pain from that small ghastly looking flame. All while trying to hide the floating spine.

"Don't bother trying to hide the spine, it's ruined anyway, but luckily it's salvageable for later use." Gelu lifted the spine from the liquid with her mana as she put it away in one of her rings. Then she looked at Polemos and spoke. "You seem close to being fixed up."

Polemos smiled as he continued to float naked in the pool. "Yeah only one left to fix it seems and as much as it seems you're enjoying the show. Is Rose and Secat ok?" Polemos asked with a smile on his face.

Gelu chuckled as she continued to watch Polemos slowly spin while floating. "Good not much longer then you'll be able to cook a grand feast. I've made sure to inform the staff to help if you need it, oh and yes they are doing fine. And I must say whatever you did to gain Rose's trust or what, I've never seen before, she's very protective of you. And yes Secat is eagerly awaiting for you to start cooking." Gelu took one last look before she turned around and grabbed the frozen Kazzy and dragged her along. "Oh and yes it was quite a great show."

"Your clothes are on the table by the door, nobody went through your rings or necklace. I'm pretty sure you have many questions but let it wait for the morning to come." As Gelu opened the door the hall was empty, then she spoke to the frozen Kazzy. "You're lucky you're my aide as well as me coming to check up on my disciple, otherwise they would have done everything to stop you." She sighed in the end as she started to leave the medical area.

"Bu-but, they wouldn't be able to, I'm too awesome and strong though?" Kazzy mumbled under her breath.

Polemos only shook his head in his mind as he watched the two leave the room. He continued to float in the 'healing liquid' with the only thing to accompany him were his own thoughts and voice.

"Ah, such is the start to the great and all mighty powerful, Polemos the Mad One. Beaten, naked, and floating in a pool of green 'healing liquid'." He sighed again as he continued. "Well at least it's not the worst start I guess to a saga of a tale but still, I really didn't see that coming at all." He smiled still as he was alive and not floating in a mass of endless darkness.

Polemos didn't have to wait that much longer as his final rib finally healed. The moment it was fixed strength returned to his body as his feet slowly sank till they touched the floor. When he put strength into his legs and stood he noticed that the pool of liquid reached his waist, he had an amused look on his face as he walked through the liquid.

When he got out of the pool the liquid quickly evaporated leaving his skin dry, but not cracked dry. When he noticed that he was intrigued to know what the actual 'healing liquid' was made of. As to test it further he pinched and pulled his skin and noticed it was softer and smooth!

"Wow." He exclaimed.

"This is pretty nice, I forgot the feeling of having soft skin. I wonder if they sell this as a form of cream, or oil maybe? If they don't then they are missing out on a literal gold mine." Polemos said as he headed to the table that held his stuff as he quickly put his pants on as well as everything else. Then pulled out one of his many coded journals to add yet another entry to it.

"There, all done. Wait she never told me the direction for the kitchen or cooking area. Damn master you could have at least told me where to go." He cursed to himself and to his new master but he stopped as he noticed something on the table that was beneath his clothes. "What's this? I didn't see it because I was a little focused on putting my clothes on."

It was a note.

When Polemos started to read it he started to rub his head as a bitter laugh escaped his mouth as he continued to read through the note.

'All fixed up my dear disciple. I'll forgive you for cursing me as I did enjoy the show. I left my aide Kazzy and apparently your newest best friend, to escort you to the cooking area. I've heard from Secat you're quite the cook.'

"Well it seems I spoke too soon then didn't I. Oh well, so Kazzy is that cheerful person. Well, let's go. It seems I have people to cook for. At least they have a cooking area, I wonder what they have I guess, I'll find out." He smiled as he equipped his axe and harpoon to his belt and headed to the door.

The moment he opened the door and left Polemos thought he went blind as a dark grey and heavy cloak flew at him!

Polemos was not expecting the welcome he got when he opened and just left the door. He quickly opened his hands out to catch or rather embrace the flying cloak.

When Polemos caught and embraced the cloaked individual he was very surprised by how light the person was. It felt like they were just skin and bones! But he didn't let that bother him at all, he had already expected certain things to be a little weird but completely normal for The Banished World.

He cheerfully and happily greeted the individual in his embrace. "You must be, Kazzy right, my newest and best friend. I'm very thankful for you helping to take care of me, I'm Polemos. Or you can call me whatever you'd like."

When Kazzy heard Polemos she tightly returned his embrace, almost breaking his entire upper body and crushing his spine in the process. All while she squealed in glee.

"YAAAAAAAAAAY!!! May I call you Best Friend? Please, please, please, pretty please? I'll even give you a present that, Master doesn't know about." Kazzy looked up to see the pained yet smiling face of Polemos. She looked up so fast that her hood fell revealing her face.

Polemos didn't flinch, nor did his eyes shake as he smiled and replied to Kazzy with pained breaths.

"Best Friend is fine as long as I can do the same." He continued to smile as he looked into her strangely yet beautiful blue-white soul flamed eyes.

Kazzy seemed to be a raised skeleton but of a different kind as she was able to speak and think. And from what Polemos saw, remembered, and currently was feeling, strong.

Kazzy smiled as she released her Best Friend. Then started to jump up and down and skip while speaking to Polemos in glee. "Quick, quickly follow, master asked me to show my Best Friend to the cooking area." She continued to skip down the hall.

Polemos was slowly breathing as he tried straightening himself as his bones echoed a chorus of cracking and popping. When he felt them pop and crack he released a satisfied sigh as he shook himself and quickly followed after the skipping Kazzy.

'Somehow she didn't crush me but was able to crack my entire upper body. She seems interesting, I wonder if I'll be able to create or do that?' Polemos questioned himself as he followed Kazzy down the halls of the crypt. He followed her for about five to ten minutes before she stopped in front of a pair of huge silver doors.

"This is the cooking area, hopefully you'll like it Best Friend! Master, her friend, and your partner are waiting for you in the eating area. There's also a door that'll take you to them. Have fun Best Friend." Kazzy quickly hugged Polemos without cracking or squeezing him. But before she left she froze.

"You're not joining us Best Friend? It's more fun to eat a meal together." Polemos smiled as he asked Kazzy.

But Kazzy didn't even turn around as a sad and pained voice escaped her mouth. She even pulled her hood up as she spoke.

"I'm not able to eat anything, and I'll only ruin the food." Then she quickly flipped as she spoke in a happy and excited voice. "But thanks anyway Best Friend. Bye, bye." She said as she ran down the hall.

'She wanted to join, otherwise she wouldn't have stopped if she didn't. If I remember skeletons or undead monsters did have some way to consume or eat but I currently don't know the information.' Polemos sighed in his mind but a smile formed as he had another interesting idea for a new style of cooking.

After his thought, he opened the tall silver doors and was welcomed by a very nice surprise as the kitchen or cooking area was more advanced than he thought. It had everything a kitchen needed just designed with the use of Mana and cultural design.

It looked beautiful.

"Wow, this is perfect. There's the fridge, stove, oven, utensils, what in Death's name is this? I've never seen this before, so I won't use it until I'm taught how." He was smiling like a kid in a candy store as he started to rub his hands together and headed to the fridge and scoured the cabinets for ingredients and spices.

The sound of cutting, hammering, pots clinking, and fire sounded from inside the cooking area as Polemos had lost himself in cooking. Many amazing smells escaped from the cooking area as it slowly leaked.

Making not only Gelu, Secat, and Rose hungry but even some of the wandering Keepers were drawn by the smell.

The Keepers all had the same thought.

'Who the hells in the cooking area!?'
