Polemos, Secat, and Rose had no idea what had just occurred just after they had entered the tunnel and went in a different direction than the four Golden Army Sentinels. They only continued to follow behind Elder Bones as he led them to another massive and long hallway that was decorated the same as the Grey Keepers: Zombied Hall.
When Elder Bones was halfway through the tunnel he chuckled darkly as he stopped and turned around with a dark and vicious smile but his eyes held a forlorn look.
"Well, it seems that our rude and unwelcome guests have seemed to have left on their own account. Such a shame really, I was hoping that they could have joined us in the meeting." Even though he spoke as if he was upset that they wouldn't be joining them. The way he looked showed otherwise.
Secat frowned when Elder Bones spoke as she knew he was lying by his tone and was pisssed that he was hiding it. "You know, if it wasn't for your Cryptkeeper wanting to speak to me and Polemos, I'd have buried and burned you boney ass. If you kill someone just say it, I can tell you guys have blood on your hands." She gripped her fist as a fierce and red aura started to surround it. "I sensed many dark, evil and vile forms of mana among your members." Her eyes were cold as she slowly released her grip.
Elder Bone's face never changed but his presence had darkened very quickly but vanished as his smile turned from vicious to a soft grandpa smile which creeped both Secat and Polemos.
"Well, well, well, it seems you're quite unique yourself. You're able to feel and sense the many types and forces of Mana." Then a peculiar looked flashed in his sunken eyes that made them look bright. "It's a shame that I'm not allowed to poke around and see why." He didn't notice nor care about their expression or feelings as he turned around and spoke in a kind and grandfatherly way.
"Come along now, we shouldn't keep her waiting."
Secat and Polemos stood silently in surprise. Secat had a dark expression on her surprised face as her burnt orange-red eyes glowed. While Polemos was rubbing his temples trying to calm and suppress a massive headache all the while shock and surprise ran through his mind.
'Does this old bag of bones or whatever, have multiple personality syndrome. Because that was, what the third or fourth one I think. Just what sort of organization is the Grey Keepers?' Polemos continued to rub his temples until he felt a poke on his back.
He turned around and saw that Rose had poked him. Her head tilted slightly showing she was confused or worried. When Secat saw how Rose was behaving she smiled as she let out a massive sigh.
"You really have gotten us into a very interesting situation, Polemos. Besides sparring with me before the night ends, how else are you going to repay me for this unique moment?" Secat said as she started to follow after Edler Bones.
Polemos chuckled as he stopped rubbing Rose's head and followed behind also, as Rose seemingly happier, hissed silently behind him.
"Well, how about I cook you something. I'm quite a good cook." Polemos smiled as he boasted about his cooking abilities.
"Hahaha, sure why not, let's say after we meet this Head Cryptkeeper, and after I kick your ass, you cook me an amazing feast." Secat smiled as she continued to laugh.
"Gladly." Polemos agreed as he continued to smile as he placed his hands behind his back.
They continued to follow behind Elder Bones for quite a while before they were in front of a massive bone white door. That seemed to be carved from some type of white wood, there was a massive mural carved in the door, as dragons, phoenixs, angels, demons, monsters, and all sorts of beings were exquisitely designed on the two massive bone white doors.
As they reached the massive doors Elder Bones didn't even knock or do anything as they seemed to magically open without a sound as they seemed to glide open. Polemos was very impressed as he watched the doors open silently, creating no sound.
"I will say even though I want to rip off both your ears and tongue this place is very well designed and beautifully designed as well." Polemos smiled as he looked at Elder Bones as he did the same but his eyes were closed which made him seem irritated.
"Why thank you, Polemos. I'm sure the leader will enjoy the compliment as I did."
"Yes, I agree with Polemos. Plus to also add you were a little rude as a host, and you even showed a good amount disrespect and even disregard for my standing. But breaking your already almost non existent nose would seem rude of a guest." Secat was all smiles as she spoke but was looking at all the carvings on the door as many of the carvings were carved in amazing detail.
Elder Bones frowned as his arms started to shake in his sleeves as he seemed to gather a dark and vile mana but before he could do anything he would regret, a soft and charming voice echoed out.
"Now, now, Elder Bones, I told you, you needed to treat these guests of ours with utmost care now didn't I?" Then the voice went cold as it continued. "But, yet here I am, hearing that one of my guests wants to tear off both your ears and rip your tongue out. While my other guest says you've shown her both disrespect and disregarded her standing."
The moment Elder Bones heard that voice, he somehow started to turn even paler than before as he started to shake as beads of sweat had started to run down his face. But then he heard the voice speak something that made his dead heart beat, which made him kneel in absolute fear.
"You even let a group of lost little lamb enter and follow behind you. You have been a horrible escort for my guests. After we have our talk, I'm allowing Polemos to take your ears and tongue. After he's all done, Secat if you wish you can cave his skull in further. Then after they're all done I'll be sealing your pathetic and broken soul for my amusement and research purposes Elder Bones."
When Elder Bones heard the last sentence he stopped shaking as he slowly stood to his feet as a broken and child-like smile formed on his face, as he slowly stumbled in the direction of the voice.
"Follow after the poor Elder, we will be seeing each other soon." The voice echoed out.
Secat smiled as she laughed, cracking her knuckles in the process. Polemos smiled also as he looked at the eager Secat. When she noticed Polemos' look she questioned.
"What."
"Nothing, just happy." Polemos replied. "But I will say this Cryptkeeper seems to be a good and proper hostess, she was able to see angry guests and helped to satisfy us."
Secat nodded her head as she walked after the broken Elder Bones as she was a little eager to see this Cryptkeeper and thank her for allowing her to smash Elder Bones face in.
'It's not often someone allows you to smash skulls in. I am more interested in meeting this powerful Cryptkeeper and possibly working with her.' She thought as she had a little more hop in her step.
Polemos watched as he looked at her well toned and shaped behind.
'She really is beautiful.' He thought as he turned to look at Rose and rubbed her head as he spoke.
"Well we shouldn't fall behind now should we. Let's see what this Cryptkeeper has to say shall we. Then it's off to have my match with Secat. Then a glorious feast."
Rose hissed as they both followed after Secat and Elder Bones.
The massive hallway was brightly lit as paintings of different Gods and Goddesses decorated the walls. Some of the Gods were painted with armor, in battle, war, death, plagues, having sex, naked, and much more. They were all titled with a name plate and their title, along with a small plaque describing a little about them. They were beasts, monsters, angels, demons, plants, aquatic creatures, humans, and things Polemos had never seen before!
Elder Bones weakly spoke up. "What you see here is all but a small fraction of all the many Gods and Goddesses that many, few, or even just one might pray to or worship."
Secat only nodded her head but Polemos was very interested in all the many Gods and Goddesses among the wall as he was more interested in hearing or learning about what brought them to Godhood and whatever story they had.
"So many Gods, so many tales, this is such an amazing world. To be born and reborn in this world is such an endless journey of surprises." Polemos sighed as he just read a small plaque of one of the many Gods. The one he read was about a golden black litch, a God of War, Blood, and Slaughter.
He turned to look at all the many more he could learn about and smiled.
They had shortly reached the door to where the Head Cryptkeepers office was. When a soft and charming voice sounded from behind the door.
"You may enter. I've been eagerly awaiting you all, Elder Bones, you may wait outside while we talk." Then the voice spoke coldly. "And if you move or dare to run, Kazzy will follow."
Elder Bones stood rock still when he heard the name, Kazzy.
