When the messenger came back earlier in the afternoon Carl was just finishing up with a regular customer. Carl sighed through his nose and shook his head as the messenger got closer.
"Hmmmmmmmm. What can I do for ya today boy." Carl was not in the mood to deal with the stupidity of the messenger today.
"How dare you not greet one of your customers, and stop calling me boy I hav-." Before the messenger was able to finish Carl interrupted him as he really wasn't in the mood to deal with his stupidity.
"I'll continue to call you boy as I please, if you want me to change how I address you then do something about it. And stop wasting my damn time getting out what ya have to say!" Carl emphasized by applying his bloody pressure upon the messenger.
"H-ho-how dare you, as I said before you'll regret what you're doing. Don't you know who I work under! Now bring out what my boss requires and you'll only receive ten bronze coins and be happy about it, you lowly-." Again the messenger wasn't able to finish his sentence as the moment he decided to threaten Carl again he noticed that his feet were off the ground and he could hardly breathe.
Carl was furious as he held the messenger by his throat with his calloused and rough hand.
"Now you listen to me boy!!! If you try that shit again both your boss and even the tribal leader wouldn't think twice about some dead messenger in my tent. So I suggest you better get a better attitude or really think about what comes next. And besides I couldn't give you what ya wanted as the item has already been sold, so if that's all you need then leave as I won't say goodbye." Carl stared into his eyes the entire time as he spoke because with just a little pressure he could easily snap his neck, then Carl dropped him at the end.
"Cough, cough, cough, yo-you sold it!! To whom? How dare you-."
"One none of your business and two." Carl applied more than half of his trained bloody pressure onto the messenger til he shut up and then ran out of his tent.
'Stupid people really need to learn that just because they are under someone with status doesn't mean that they gain it to. Gods, why is the only smart person in the tribe Polemos.'
But Carl was also completely unaware of the two idiots that were hiding in their tents as they didn't want to leave as fear still had a grip on their bodies and minds. And no one had yet to find them to see what had happened to Ellios.

Polemos had no idea what was happening in the tribe as he was already more than halfway to a Common ranked Monsters nest before he needed to head to the lizard's nest.
This nest was even close to the lizard nest as it looked like it would only take him about forty-five minutes to an hour to reach the lizard's nest.
"Hopefully these monsters will be able to help at least train me a little before I head to the lizard's nest. What was this nest again? Ah that's right it's a Common ranked Giant Centipede nest, well that's interesting I wonder how big they are plus I wonder if it would be safe to camp in their nest.?" Polemos had a lot on his mind as he headed to the nest as he needed to start his hunt and train.
When Polemos was heading to the nest he stopped atop a large sand dune and looked over the beautiful golden landscape that was in front of him.
'Gods this is amazing but at the same time terrifying I actually wonder where I really am and even the continent I'm on as the books didn't have that info.' Polemos pondered as he finally was able to get to the giant centipede nest that was just a giant forest of rocks and many pit holes.
"Wow, those are huge. I wonder how big the-."
As if to answer his call a Common ranked Giant Centipede barreled out of one of the giant forests of rocks. It was definitely what the notebook stated: it was freaking huge as it had a length of about 22-23 meters long and was as least three meters tall in height, its mandibles looked fierce, but what Polemos needed to look out for was their forcipules as they were meant to capture and inject their venom into their victims.
"Well, that'll look like a challenge maybe. I wonder if I can capture one as a mount, and it looks like my axe might not be able to do that much damage to that exoskeleton, looks like my new harpoon might come in handy plus my spells will see some action." Polemos smiled as he was able to let his spells run loose. Even though they were Common ranked spells they still allowed one to build a good foundation.
"Wait before I go and possibly get myself killed. Let's go over the notebook plus let's take a look at the journal Carl gave me before I left."
Polemos then proceeded to look for a spot to put up camp nearby but also away from the nest, then take another look at the notebook then look at Carl's journal.
Polemos was able to find a spot near a massive sand dune to set up his tent and then looked at the two books, when he was finally finished he just sat there in his tent before he shouted to the heavens.
"Oh for everything holy, unholy, good, bad, hell, anything!!!!! What did you give me Carl, this is just like that damned Mana technique book. This is the second grenade you've given me!! Gods, this just keeps getting better."
Polemos was beyond baffled as he was right as this was the second grenade that Carl gave him, the first being the Mana technique while the second was this bloody journal that had an insane amount of survival tips and how to properly set yourself up when one traveled the massive desert.
Carl was indeed correct when he said it would save his ass. Polemos already made a pretty big mistake as he set up his tent near a monster nest which is a complete rookie mistake.
"Well let's tear her down then set up in a good location, there should be a small water source nearby since centipedes do need a water source. Hopefully there are some trees nearby." Polemos then proceeded to take his tent down again then search for a nearby water source, when he found the source he was happy as he was able to find a good spot to set up his tent.
"Alright now that's set up let's go and hunt some centipedes. Looks like I was right about my axe maybe, the harpoon and spells should do the trick, aim for their mouths and take out their legs." Polemos grinned as he went back to the nest and looked for a lone centipede.
After searching for a bit, Polemos was able to find one as he pulled out his harpoon, spun it around and then threw it at what looked like the head of the centipede.
When the harpoon pierced into the centipede it screeched a horrific noise, but Polemos ignored it as he pulled on the rope on his harpoon to make its face, face him.
"Hey ugly how does a fireball taste?" Polemos grinned as he threw a fireball at the centipede's face missing its mouth but was able to hit and burn and severely wound one of its mandibles in the process. While the centipede continued to screech in pain as it turned its hatred toward the human who caused its pain, and charged towards him.
"Figured you tried that, well good thing I'm prepared, Earth Spire!"
Polemos pumped his hand up as a earthen colored spire came out of the ground and pierced through the head of the charging giant centipede, as the spire went through its lower part of its head killing it as it went through it's brain but the momentum of the monster charging continued as it broke the top of the spire and crashed into the bottom half of the pillar.
Polemos was a little shocked to see that his plan worked as he was expecting a little fight but then also remembered that the Giant Desert Centipedes were weaker than himself, as they are normally about the strength of a Apprentice Acolyte second or third stage. While their Elites normally only got to the fourth stage, it was rare when one was able to gain more strength.
"Well let's see what I am, able to loot from these centipedes and hopefully it's worth something. Then after I'm done with this let's hunt down the rest. Maybe I'll get some scars, and I might be able to use my axe if my harpoon was able to pierce its head." Polemos rubbed his chin as he approached what looked like a dead centipede but, just to make sure it was actually dead he threw another fireball towards its head.
When the centipede made its final cry was when Polemos went up and started to harvest what he could from the centipede which wasn't all that much. He was able to get a small bottle of venom from the centipede, and its other mandible while he left the exoskeleton alone as he was more interested in the venom and the mandibles of the centipede. Polemos needed the scales off the lizards more than the shell from a centipede.
He put what he was able to get into the necklace as he would later transfer them to the military bag.
"Well since that was the perfect appetizer, then how about we start on the main course and get rid of this nest, then get a good night's sleep and then proceed to the next nest as I'll have a good day and a half before those two arrive."
Polemos had a big toothy grin as he started his march towards the nest.
Polemos couldn't see but his eyes flashed a devilish purple color as he headed towards the insignificant remaining centipedes.
