Chapter 32 - 2.23

Lea woke up late in the afternoon. With heavy eyes she looked around and found herself in the same room she had been the entirety of last night. Her entire body felt sore, and her head was throbbing.

What had happened? As soon as she asked herself that question, her memories came flooding back. The walk with Mason, the princess carry and wall slam, being tied up, those strange glasses that made her able to stop following the law, the short interrogation, and her losing her fucking mind and licking Mason!

What had she done? No matter how hot Mason was, how horny she had felt, she had promised Dwyl to help him get together with Mason. How could she betray him like that? What was even worse is that Dwyl had walked in on them! She needed to apologize. Now.

[I'm so sorry, Dwyl!]

Dwyl was lazing around in his room, still resting from the exercise that had ended a couple of hours ago, when he received her message. He was glad to hear their communication had been restored, and Lea could thus think clearly.

[Dwyl: Sorry about what?] He asked feigning ignorance.

[About…] Did she really need to spell it out?

[Dwyl: If you don't tell me, I don't know.]

[I'm sorry about kissing Mason.]

[Dwyl: That wasn't just a kiss. It was a passionate French kiss, and more! Mason was touching under your clothes. If I hadn't interrupted, who knows what more would have occurred.]

[I'm really sorry about that…]

[Dwyl: Why are you sorry?]

[Because I had promised to help you get together with him, and instead of that I foolishly…]

[Dwyl: Seduced him? Rolled around the sheets with him? Stabbed me in the back? Threw your promise in the wind? What?]

[All of the above? Look, I know I messed up. I have never regretted anything more in my life, but how should I have prevented it? You said it yourself I was suffering from an excess of horniness!]

Dwyl scoffed. [If you're really sorry, you wouldn't be searching for excuses.]

Dwyl knew Lea was right, and she probably couldn't have prevented it from happening, but that didn't mean he had to except that excuse as an apology.

Lea felt desperate. She didn't want to fight with Dwyl. She didn't want Dwyl to hate her. She wished she could travel back in time to slap herself in the face.

[I'm truly sorry. What can I do to make you see that?]

[Dwyl: What can you do? Seriously? You can't even figure it out by yourself? How dumb are you? Maybe you should start with apologizing for the thing that has hurt me the most.]

Lea felt stumped. Had she not apologized for everything she had done wrong?

[Dwyl: You don't know?]

[I'm not sure, but do you mean me telling you and Mason to kiss?]

[Dwyl: It seems you're not entirely unintelligent.]

Oh, maybe that was a little insensitive of her given the situation, but couldn't you interpret that as her supporting Dwyl and Mason to be together despite being devoured by her desires?

Dwyl laughed mirthlessly hearing Lea's thought process. [You think that is supporting someone? You and I both now you didn't say that for me. You would have said it no matter which guys were in front of you. You didn't think about Mason or my feelings. You only thought about your own.]

Lea shrank hearing the cold truth. Dwyl was right. She hadn't thought about the emotions between them. She just saw two handsome men and wanted them to kiss, no matter how they felt about it.

[Dwyl: It's sick, Lea. I get that you are a fujoshi and like seeing two guys together, but that doesn't mean you get to meddle with people's lives. It doesn't mean you get to demand two random men to kiss just because you want to!]

[I know that. I know it was wrong of me! I know, but I couldn't help myself! I wasn't thinking clearly.]

Dwyl calmed down a bit. Lea sounded sincere, but he wanted to make sure she really understood why he was mad about that.

[Dwyl: Lea, what you did was very disrespectful towards Mason and me. You have hurt my feelings immensely by treating me like a doll you can play with.]

[That was not my intention.]

Dwyl sighed. [Sometimes, intentions don't matter.]

[I understand.]

[Dwyl: Honestly, fujoshi's are such a handful.]

[Hey! We're just showing or support to the gay community.]

Dwyl raised his eyebrows. [Are you? Are you really? Or are you objectifying men, oversexualizing them? Besides, a lot of yaoi stories show unhealthy abusive relationships.]

[Sex almost always comes with objectification. That's why a lot of people have issues with porn, no matter if it's heterosexual, gay or lesbian porn. And I am definitely not planning to have this argument with you. About your other point, I'm not going to deny there are a lot of yaoi stories that have unhealthy abusive relationships. But the same can be said about heterosexual stories. It would be a mistake to associate that kind of stories with yaoi. In each section of heterosexual, yaoi or yuri you have to watch out for those kinds storylines. There will always be bad stories, but also good ones. There are plenty of yaoi stories with healthy relationships. You just have to find them.]

This made Dwyl quiet. He didn't know how to rebuke what she said. [Okay, I'll give you that one.]

[Does that mean I'm forgiven?]

[Dwyl: Only if you promise never to make such an insulting remark.]

[I'll try?]

[Dwyl: I'm not going to get anything better, am I?]

[I'm not making a promise I'm not sure I can keep. Wouldn't want to lose my credibility.]

Dwyl sighed. [You're awful.]

[And you're awesome! I'll do my very best to live up to your expectations.]
