Oberon studied Edwin as they sat across each other under the gazebo in the garden around the royal palace. While Oberon had already finished half of the bottle of the drink, Edwin's glass remained untouched.
It was clear that something was bothering Edwin, and Oberon wanted to know what it was. Of course, he couldn't just ask him about it straight away. Edwin was not his any other guest. He was a werewolf leader, and Oberon must respect his position and power.
"Lord Edwin?"
Edwin blinked, realising he was silent all this time. How could he focus on anything else when his mind was a chaotic mess because of his dearest mate?!
"If you don't like this drink, then I can order something else for you."
Edwin picked up the glass and smiled apologetically. "No, King Oberon. You don't need to bother over it. I like this drink very much!" To prove his point, Edwin gulped some sips.
Oberon could easily see through Edwin's act, but he chose a slower and safer path to approach that man.
