Theodora slammed the door behind her as she strode inside Augustus's office. The loud sound of the door closing made Augusus look up at her with raised brows.
He was sure she was upset because of something one of his daughters had said or done. He waited for her to vent her anger in front of him though he was not in the mood of handling that.
But she was his wife and had no one but him to talk to. If she couldn't talk to her husband, then what was the meaning of their relationship?
After she settled in the chair across from him, he offered her some water. She glared at that glass, contemplating for a moment.
Her eyes snapped up at Augustus, and she said, "I don't want to cool down this anger Augustus."
"What happened? Did Elsie or Eloise say something to you?"
Theodora shook her head. "I can handle them, Augustus. They are my daughters." Theodora was still playing the card of being a responsible mother to keep her image projected in front of her husband.
