Edwin had to step in, seeing that things were getting heated. He looked down at the boy, who was too scared to even lift his head while he sobbed.
Edwin took his hand in his larger one, and the boy flinched in fear. But Edwin's hold was gentle. He observed the boy's hands to see they had bruises all over them.
Those marks on his body made him grind his jaw tightly. He looked at the boy with his calm cerulean blue eyes and asked in a commanding voice.
"Why did you steal?"
The boy looked confused as he didn't understand Edwin's language. Understanding the problem, Edwin turned to the seller and ordered him. "Translate for me."
Kevin quickly placed some money into the seller's hand. The man looked nervous as he stole glances at the two men who were seething in anger.
The seller was left with no choice but to comply with Edwin, not only because of the money he had given him but also because of an intimidating glare he had thrown his way.
