"Ruth! What are you doing?" Thea almost shrieked when she saw her friend running toward the cabin door.
"Giving some help."
Thea left her position and ran to her friend, standing between her and the door.
"No! You aren't going anywhere. Lord Edwin has ordered-"
"And I am not his disciple to take orders from him. I am a Luna and I will make my own choices. Now move!" Ruth told stubbornly.
"NO!" Her best friend was as stubborn as her.
Ruth was distracted by a movement behind Thea, and before she could react, the door of the cabin was broke open. Thea was standing too close to the door that when it was pushed, it hit her hard in the back. The impact threw her on the floor.
Ruth received a blow in her stomach as the two dead pirates charged at her. She was quick to create a protective shield around her with her one hand while the other one clenched her stomach where it pained like hell.
