The black ship was travelling down the south for days now. And so far, the journey was quiet and peaceful. Other than homesickness, none of the members of the group suffered any other problem.
The sun was shining brightly today, and the seabirds were flying over their heads, chirping. The three women decided to spend this morning on the deck, soaking in the sunlight and getting some tan for themselves.
The men were inside the cabin, discussing a few things. Edwin had already given directions to his men.
Edwin was saying something when he noticed that Kevin was distracted. Pursing his lips in annoyance, he called out for his name but got no reply.
Rees watched him amusingly, ready to witness the most obedient one getting scolded by his master.
Edwin opened his mouth to call Kevin again when the latter sprang up on his feet and ran out of the room and to the deck.
Rees shrugged his shoulders when Edwin threw a questioning glance his way.
They both followed Kevin to the deck.
