"You are the one person that I can trust blindly. And that is all that matters in the end for me!" Eloise said with sincerity in her voice.
Harold stopped moving. His eyes changed with unpredictable patterns. Eloise didn't understand what happened.
"Mr Davies? Have I... have I said something wrong?" She asked nervously.
But Harold was not looking at her anymore.
She followed his gaze to see that he was looking behind her where her father and stepmother were dancing with each other.
She looked back at Harold again. He looked like he was struck by thunder. His hand slipped from her waist, and the other one let go of hers. Eloise watched him with pure confusion.
"Mr Davies?" She called his name again as gently as she could.
His eyes shifted and met hers for a split second. And before she could figure out the striking emotion in them, he turned on his heels and walked away hurriedly, leaving her in the middle of the dance for people to watch.
