Rees stirred as he felt hot as soon as his brain fluttered to awakening. He was sleeping for a long time now. His eyes opened into slits to see the bright light falling directly on his face. He tried to raise his hand to block it, but before his hand covered his face, a muscular hand shot in front of his eyes to pull the curtains to block the light.
He blinked to see Edwin's face staring back at him with undecipherable expressions. He didn't understand if he was imagining things or if was Edwin really there.
"M-Master?"
"Lay down Rees. Relax!" Edwin said, pushing his shoulders lightly on the bed.
Rees looked around to see that they were alone in the room. Edwin insisted that Rees stay in the old building for a couple of days before shifting back to his home.
"How are you feeling now? The physician said you have a broken rib and multiple fractures in your legs." Edwin tried to sound normal about it as he didn't want to panic Rees.
