Tonight, the Welby's were hosting a dinner, and the O'Dells were invited along with Alpha Raynold. But Ruth gauged that an opportunity to bring Ida and Raynold closer.
She told Ida to stay back. And she would handle Raynold. She was getting ready for dinner when Edwin walked out of his chamber and into hers.
"Are you ready?" He asked while buttoning his simple shirt.
"Yes, I am done... almost."
Edwin took in her appearance, and for a moment, he felt like he was meeting this woman again in a new light just like he met her more than a year ago.
She looked that same Ruth Moore, who stole his heart with her simplicity and her exquisite natural beauty. And even after marking her as his mate, he still felt that possessiveness, that urge of shielding her, protect her from the world.
