Darius finally left the flock of people and his parents behind as he walked to his room. Reaching the door, he paused for a while, contemplating if he should open the door.
Was he ready? Was he able to step inside the room where her scent used to cover every inch of its space? Was he strong enough to push all those memories to the back of his mind? Would his weeks of isolation come to his use to help him not think about her and her betrayal?
Closing his eyes momentarily and after mustering up all his courage, Darius finally pushed the door open. As soon as the door hit the wall behind it after opening wide, Darius stepped in only to be greeted by the cold loneliness. His steps froze. His brain told him to turn around and leave, only to never come back to this place again.
But his dead heart longed to be here, the only place where he felt close to her other than her… grave.
A chill ran down his spine as he recollected the days and nights he had spent sitting at Lisa's grave.
