Edwin and the beast of beasts were engaged in a fight of exerting their dominance. Both didn't like the challenge to their power and could go to any lengths to win. About half an hour had passed, and Edwin's chest was moving rapidly as he breathed hard. He had a few scratches on his body that shone under the sunlight.
Watching his tensed muscles made the spectators' backs rigid like an iron rod. With every blow that Edwin received, Ruth's heart raced in fear. She had never seen such an animal so up close and whenever she had thought about it, it never occurred to her that her first encounter with that animal would be so life-threatening.
It was clear that Edwin was not in his best form. After going through that heart-wrenching day and a journey to far lands after had taken a toll on his body. He could still kill like a destruction machine, but when he chose to not kill his opponent, he made sure to not harm him more than necessary.
