The next two days passed in a blur as Edwin got busied with work. Ruth and Elsie were by his side all the time, explaining things to him. Eloise had found a few encounters with him, and they were not awkward except the ones where Elsie was also present with them.
Rees and Kevin were happy to meet after such a long time, but they didn't miss how Lester was left to himself by both Edwin and Elsie. Ruth tried conversations with him when Edwin was not around but she, too, looked hesitant in involving Lester in the meetings.
On the third day, she suggested Lester to talk to Edwin directly and see why he was acting so cold toward him. She herself had tried bringing up Lester's topic, but Edwin had skillfully dodged it using his tactic that made Ruth forget the whole world.
Lester couldn't muster up his courage to face Edwin. He needed some support and on the fourth day, that support came in the form of Zoe.
