The carriage left the boundaries of Vincardine when the Sun blazed hot on the head. The lack of wind and the high humidity in the air forced Ruth and Eloise to fan themselves with the designer paper hand fans. And yet Ruth hadn't revealed their destination to Eloise.
Their journey began after waving their goodbyes. In all honesty, all goodbyes were meant only for Ruth and not Eloise. She wished someone, at least her sister would bid her goodbye, but Elsie didn't even speak with her.
Eloise had accepted the fact that it was easy to turn someone against us, but it was way difficult to win someone's trust back. But she was tired of living that fake life, and now she was determined to do what her heart told her to do.
"Lady Eloise"
Eloise looked up to see Ruth's eyes trained on her curiously.
"Yes?"
"You should stop frowning and smile more often." Ruth smiled softly at her. Her left hand kept moving the hand fan, providing a slight relief from the scorching heat.
