Edwin's feet moved faster, and it was hard to keep up with his pace as he walked through the corridors of 'the great manor'. He pushed open the door of Elsie's chamber and strode inside, taking everyone by surprise.
"B-brother..." Elsie stuttered as her wolf was hit by the anger radiating off of him, and she immediately jumped on her feet along with Ida.
Kevin, who was also present there, gulped in fear yet maintained a stoic face. Ruth was exhausted after using her powers, and though she wanted to stand up, her knees felt weak.
Edwin didn't spare a glance to anyone else and marched straight to where Ruth sat, feeling anxious. The fear was evident on every face because it was not only Edwin but also his wolf angry and agitated.
Edwin grabbed Ruth's arm and pulled her up harshly.
"Brother please-" Elsie was stopped by Lester as he grabbed her wrist.
She was about to argue, but when she saw the angry look on his face, she sealed her mouth.
