Augustus, Theodora and Eloise gathered at the table for the dinner. Augustus's eyes turned to the empty chair beside him.
"Where is ELsie?"
"She must be with her lover!" Eloise made a face, rolling her eyes.
"Lester is her MATE Eloise! There is difference!" Augustus warned.
His eyes then turned to the chair in front of him and the one to its left.
"And where are they?"
"Must be busy with each other. It is good that I don't need to see that woman's face tonight! I just lose my appetite at her sight." Eloise grumbled, eyeing the chair where Ruth usually sat.
None of them chided her for her remark about Ruth because the truth was that they also felt the same. They focused on their food in silence. About five minutes passed before they saw Edwin storming into the room with darkened eyes.
Augustus looked up, noticing him, and frowned, "You should be present at the table on time Edwin! You are not a child anymore for me to teach you the basic mannerisms."
