Ruth was still trying to process the information she had received from that captive Shade. And Edwin was still unable to wrap his mind around what he was watching.
"Is there anything else you can tell us?" Ruth asked as she thought she had asked almost everything that he could answer.
"Yes."
"What is it?"
The boy stared at her before saying, "Edwin O'Dell has chosen the wrong person. He could have accepted Zoe's love. She could have definitely been a better Luna than you can ever be!"
As soon as the last word came out of his mouth, he wailed in ache as Ruth glared at him. She was frustrated hearing the same thing again and again.
She could not believe that the cat she had loved for months was in fact her competition and threat to her relationship with Edwin.
Edwin watched the man wailing in pain, and he tried to stop Ruth but did not know how. But she sensed him and finally let go of both of them.
