Ruth found the woman who had taunted her so many times. The men were fighting with the other Shades without shifting into their wolf form because even though they were in a secluded place, they could not risk anything.
"So here you are!" The woman snarled, glaring at Ruth.
"Yes! Here I am!" Ruth matched her glare.
The woman's slightly small eyes recked Ruth from head to toe curiously. She was silent but was in a stance of defence. Ruth did not mind that at first, but after some time, her scrutinising stare bothered Ruth.
"What are you looking at?" Ruth narrowed her eyes at the woman.
"I am trying to understand something." The woman said thoughtfully.
"And what is that?" Ruth cocked her brow, still keeping her guards up.
She heard footsteps behind her, followed by Thea's worried voice.
"Ruth! Are you okay?"
She had brought Ida with her.
"Luna let me-" Ida advanced towards them, but Ruth stopped her showing her palm.
"Not today Ida!" She warned.
