Mr Cooper's taunting laugh felt like someone was making irritating sounds near Ruth's ears. If she was the older self of her, then she would have shrunk back, but this Ruth was someone that Mr Cooper was yet to meet.
Ruth was about to open her mouth when a deep voice from behind shut the old man's mouth, and his eyes popped out of their sockets in utter shock.

The women who were watching silently, instantly stood up some even knocked down their chairs in hurry. They all bowed in greetings to the Young Master.
