"Edwin?" Ruth called his name and tried to sit up in the bed, but she was running out of energy and couldn't push herself up.
She did not understand why he was acting so strange. He watched her struggling and yet made no move to help her.
"Edwin!" Ruth called him again, and this time, he stood up from the chair.
She sighed, seeing him finally responding to her calls, but when he stood rooted at his place, she got confused.
"Wh-what's wrong?" She could not help but ask.
"You don't know?"
Ruth gulped in nervousness after hearing his gruff voice. His wolf was awake. But by now, she had got used to him. Although he intimidated her, she was sure she could handle him.
Besides, how could she blame him? She remembered when Edwin came wounded after a fight with Kevin. She was so furious at him that even in that state she wanted to wake him up and give him an earful for making her that scared.
"I know you are angry." Ruth said softly.
"Really? I am glad you know!"
