The next day, along with ida, Ruth was ready to leave for the place she had always called her home before. Henry was waiting with a carriage for them, and as soon as he saw the group walking his way, he straightened up to bow at them.
"Good morning Master!" He greeted Edwin, but the brooding man ignored him completely and turned his face away from him.
Ruth did not miss his arrogant action and pursed her lips, narrowing her eyes at him in a warning. Edwin just shrugged, matching her gaze. Moments later, she realised it was useless to make him understand, so she quit.
Henry greeted the others and took the two bags the ladies were going to carry with them and loaded them in the carriage.
Ruth was about to shift her attention to somewhere else when Edwin made her face her by holding her hand.
The look on his face helped Ruth figure out what was going on in his head. "Edwin please! Don't start again. I am not going to postpone my trip."
