Ruth was awestruck at the sight of the big black wolf crouching in front of her. His eyes looked like the volcanoes of the thunder under the night light as he gazed at her lovingly.
Even in his wolf form, Ruth knew that Edwin was smiling at her reassuringly.
He moved his head, signalling her to get on his back. Ruth had never even mounted on the back of a horse let alone ridden a wolf. But she trusted him more than anything else.
Without wasting much time overthinking, she dug her fingers into his long and silky fur. Clutching the hair for the support, she slowly placed her left foot on his left front leg. It gave her an edge to get on his tall back.
Hurling herself up, she somehow managed to mount herself on his back. The wolf made a distinct sound at the back of his throat as if he was asking if she was comfortable.
"I think I am good Edwin." Ruth told while figuring out the most comfortable and safer position to sit.
