While Mr Welby stared at Thea, who looked pale and tired, Rees was now standing on his feet in the same place as before. His head hung in an attempt to avoid looking at his father.
Rees could feel the anger coming from his wolf as Mrs Payne filled him with the details about Thea's condition and how it all happened.
"I haven't mentioned this to my wife or to the Greens. Mrs Green has just recovered from her illness and I do not want her to panic again and affect her health." Mr Welby said.
"I understand! Would you like to have some coffee or tea? The lunch is ready if you-"
"No thank you, Mrs Payne. But what I would like to have at this moment is a good talk with him!" Mr Welby's hard glare fell on Rees.
And even though Rees had his head hung, he could feel his father's eyes drilling holes in his head.
Mrs Payne knew what it meant but what she could do in this case?
