Thea was working late that night. She was quite disturbed recently, and the sad part was nobody really noticed, not even Rees. Perhaps he had noticed but might have chosen to not point it out, she did not know.
Her mother had recovered well, and at least that was a relief now. They all were going through such a phase of their life where unpredictability was the only constant thing.
Rees was so tensed these days that he had to refrain himself from getting near her in fear of losing his control over his wolf. Although Thea had gotten used to him and his wolf, he still had to remind himself that she was just a human at the end of the day.
And that was frustrating.
She needed him and she knew he also felt the same, yet the circumstances kept them apart. The only person Thea could think of speaking within such a situation was Ruth. Yet her luck was falling downwards in that case too.
Thea had noticed how Ruth was keeping a hand's distance from her and she wondered why.
