Thea eyed the young girl suspiciously. She was still not over the fact that Edwin was too concerned for her over Ruth. She couldn't get those images out of her mind.
She took the girl, Maya, to one of the many rooms to get cleaned up. She ran a hot bath for her after leaving her to sit on the small bed. When she came out of the bathroom, she found the girl right where she had left her.
She looked sceptical and scared, tightening her arms around herself. For a moment, Thea sympathised with her, even pitied her, but the very next moment, she realised why her guards should be up around this stranger.
For the sake of her Alpha's orders, Thea put up a small fake smile on her face and approached that girl.
"Maya, the bath is ready. Let me help you in washing your body." She offered, but the girl instantly backed away, clutching the towel she had wrapped around her.
"N-no! I... I will manage on my own. Th-thank you!" She quickly stood up and dashed into the bathroom.
