After taking a bath, Ruth came out of the small bathroom in their cabin and saw Edwin laying on the bed bare-chested with a book in his hand.
She sighed, shaking her head. He was never a disciplined man, but in Vincardine, he was at least attentive toward his schedule. He used to wake up early in the morning and after getting ready the first place he used to go was his office.
But now that he had nothing much to do, he was getting lazier and indisciplined. Ruth tried her best to make him realise that, but it was useless given how stubborn he was.
She had told him thrice to get ready before she went to take a bath, yet after finishing her bath, she found him in the same position as he was before.
"Edwin? Edwin!"
"Hmm?"
"Why aren't you ready yet? We will be late for breakfast."
There was no response from him as he flipped the page and resumed reading whatever he was reading.
"EDWIN!" Ruth's voice rose by an octave as she glared down at him.
