Edwin's glare was unforgiving. Eloise was burning under its heat, and her heart would burst out of her chest any moment if the pressure kept rising.

He ignored Raynold before tipping Eloise's chin upward to make her face him. Her tears flew freely on her face, and her lips quivered.
"Eloise, my sweet sister... why are you hiding this from me? Didn't you promise to share everything with me? I am here, my dear, to listen to you.
Even if you have done a mistake, I am here for you. Trust your brother Eloise and tell me what are you hiding."
The sudden change in Edwin's tone baffled everyone. Eloise's eyes were locked with Edwin's, and even in those slightly darkened blue eyes, she didn't find it difficult to see her elder cousin requesting her.
