Edwin tapped his fingers on the handrest of his chair impatiently for the past ten minutes before the door of his office was opened and Ruth walked in.
As soon as she stepped inside his office, he sat up from the chair to walk to her.
"Have you got it?"
She nodded her head before guiding him to sit on the floor with her in the mess of Lord Walter's papers, notebooks and the sources they two had for studying the references.
They both sat down comfortably. Edwin was excited to see what Ruth had got for him to know. He watched her opening a small notebook. When she reached the right page, she looked up at him.
"So, when I went into the library to read the Black book to find more about the curse and where I found your yet another lie-"
"I didn't lie exactly, okay? I just hid the truth. There's di-"
"No difference!" She cut him with a warning glare.
Edwin knew he shouldn't push his luck this time, so he sealed his lips regarding that topic.
