A stressful breakfast with the O'Dell family was not the only tedious task Ruth had in her hand. She stood surrounded by everyone who had worried looks on their faces after knowing about her trip.
"At least tell me where are you going, Ruth." Mrs Payne asked for the seventh time.
And just like the previous six times, Ruth refused to give an answer to that.
"I have told you already that I will tell you AFTER I return to Vincardine." Ruth said exasperatedly.
"Ruth please try to understand. You cannot go like this. Not after what we have just been through. We are still finding it hard to recover and we don't need another problem for us." Elsie tried to talk some sense into Ruth, but she refused to listen.
"Lady Elsie is right Luna. I am also not in favour of your idea."
