"Lady Elsie!!" Ruth's meek voice brought Elsie back to her senses, and without wasting another moment, she ran to hug her.
Mrs Payne helped Ruth to sit up slowly, and Elsie held her close to her chest. Tears of happiness ran from every set of their eye while they prayed to the Moon Goddess, thanking her for her blessings.
Elsie pulled away after about a minute and held Ruth's face in her hands.
"Oh, Ruth! You have no idea how much we all were worried for you! No day went without every one of us coming here in hope of seeing you awake like this. But after all the prayers and longing, you are finally awake and safe!"
Ruth smiled, blinking back her own tears. "All of your love has helped me to get back. Thank you!" She had so much more to say, but her throat allowed her only a few words.
