Edwin managed to calm down Ruth before they reached the place Lester had asked them to come. Climbing down the carriage, they walked into a hut to find Rees, Kevin, Elsie and Lester gathered around two men.
Ruth's eyes widened in recognition as soon as she saw their faces. Those were the same people who attacked her while on her way to her mother's grave.
The men were well taken care of by Rees and Kevin. Their bloodied faces were proof of that.
They began shivering in fright as soon as they saw Edwin.
"They were hiding somewhere along with their people. But these two stepped out of their hideout and got caught." Elsie informed.
She was on their chase for a long time. She knew at some point in time, they would do some mistake, and that was her only golden chance to get them. And it indeed happened.
"Lord Edwin... please! Let us go, please! Our people... they are starving with no food. Our children are sick and need help. Please Lord Edwin, show some mercy!"
