Rees made Ruth wait outside the physician's office, which made her feel strange but then she didn't want to invade their privacy and thus agreed.
After fifteen minutes, she stood up from the chair to see Rees coming out of the cabin.
"What happened? Is she alright? Why did her stomach hurt? The-"
"Ruth!" Rees held her shoulders and smiled a tensed smile. "She is alright. She... is not feeling well for some days and that pain was just its result. The physician has said that there is nothing to worry about."
Every time Rees and Thea thought of revealing the news to everyone, a new problem stood up, shutting their mouths.
The pain in Thea's stomach was not a serious thing. It happened because of overexertion, and the physician only told her to take care of herself and not lift heavy things.
Though Rees tried his best to hide it, Ruth didn't look convinced by his answer.
"Are you telling me the truth, Rees? Let me go and speak to the physician myself!"
