Edwin was particularly displeased at the idea of Ruth accompanying him to the last place he wanted her to visit- the torture room. That room was enough to give any sane person nightmares however it was one of the favourite places for Edwin.
But only when he was alone.
Along with Ruth, he dreaded walking in its way. But he had no other choice as Ruth stubbornly declared that she was going to meet the Shade they had held captive.
And with Lester's support for her decision, it was impossible to win against them.
Both Edwin and Lester kept glancing in Ruth's way as she walked in between them.
~"Why is she so normal after the marking?"~ Lester asked in confusion.
~"I do not know. Every time I ask she just says that she has a slight headache and little soreness but other than that she is perfectly alright."~ Edwin answered.
~"Doesn't it sound strange?"~
~"It is what it is. Perhaps it is because of her powers or something?!"~
