People gasped as soon as human scents rushed through their nostrils. Ruth dressed in simple black colour and a simple side braid walked along with Thea and Ida on either side. She had seen such a place for the first time in her life, although Thea seemed a little familiar with it. Ruth felt the immense weight of hundreds of eyes on her. She could feel her heart racing inside her chest.
She had never faced such a large crowd. She had no idea why Edwin wanted her to be present there when the humans were not allowed to step their foot on that ground.
"Go," Ida whispered in her ear as soon as they reached the steps.
