Early in the next morning, Ruth ran taking her heart in her hands. She did not care that she had just woken up with a mess of hair and swollen eyes. She did not care that she was wearing her nightdress and that she had not wore any shoes as she ran bare feet down the building of the servants' quarters and then in the direction of Thea and Rees's home.
Mrs Payne was already there as soon as she got the news of the attack on Thea. Ida was waiting for Ruth to wake up while resting herself. The last night's fight caused a few blows to her body.
But with the faster healing powers of the werewolves, she was alright and could manage on her own.
When Ruth woke up, she was surprised to see Ida sleeping in the chair, pulling her knees to her chest and looking like a baby.
But when she heard why Ida was there, she did not waste even a moment before she ran to see her best friend.
