Four days later, 'the great manor' welcomed Miss Chang warmly. Theodora and Augustus were present themselves to receive her. Theodora was more than excited to meet her, especially after knowing who she was.
Her stay was arranged in one of the numerous guest rooms in the residential building of 'the great manor.
"I welcome you and also thank you on behalf of the O'Dell family and Vincardine, Miss Chang!" Edwin welcomed the woman once she settled down in her room.
His party was also present there, including Ruth. Augustus and Theodora conveniently excused themselves, telling them they had other important tasks to take care of.
"Thank you for the warm welcome Lord Edwin!" Miss Chang smiled.
Before the conversation progressed, a knock drew their attention towards the door. Eloise dressed in her best clothes and her face painted extensively, stood with a broad smile.
Ruth and Thea's smile faltered as soon as they saw her.
