Colt's eyes burned due to the sand that went into them, but he managed to save himself from an embarrassing fall as he steadied himself on his feet.
His head snapped up, and he forced his eyes open to see the face that had dared to challenge him.
A pair of angry brown eyes met his gaze.
"How dared you touch me?" Colt roared, straightening up.
Thea felt proud as well as nervous at the same time.
"If you dare to come anywhere near my Master, I will make sure that it will be the last mistake of your life." Rees made it clear.
Colt tilted his head before he broke into a fit of laughter. Placing both his hands on his hips, he laughed, shaking his head.
"You are going to protect him? You cannot stand for even a minute against me."
Rees was tempted to give in to the challenge, but he held himself back, hearing Edwin's voice in his mind.
~"Don't let your anger win over you."~
Rees clenched his fists to his sides, and his nostrils flared.
"What? Are you scared, little wolf?"
