"Alexander Raid!" The stranger introduced himself.
Edwin reckoned him again while shuffling through his memory, yet the name didn't ring any bells.
"Edwin O'Dell" Edwin gave his name but didn't bother to extend his hand for exchanging pleasantries.
Alexander assessed Edwin and waited for a few moments, but when he didn't get what he wanted, he asked it straightforwardly.
"And who are you exactly? You must not consider your name is famous enough to give away your identity."
There was this cold stillness about that man which unnerved Ruth. He appeared too calm, yet there were these red signs all around him, which made Ruth apprehensive of that man.
"You don't need to know who I am, Mr Raid. I am just a traveller heading to the far east. I mean no harm to you or your people.
I don't know who you are and why you think of me as a potential danger. But I will assure you that I just want to pass through this place with no harm to my people as well as yours."
