[NOUR]
"I thought that would shut you up," Delbert said when they pulled back, and instead of responding or saying something snarky, a flushed Nour slammed their lips back together.
Delbert didn't fight it, even though he had a feeling the young wolf was doing this just to forget the betrayal Grant had forced him into. He wasn't going to fight it, after all, there was nothing better than kissing his erasthai, right?
"Make me forget, please," Nour whispered defeatedly as he pulled back and rested his head on Delbert's waiting shoulders.
He felt safe here with Delbert, almost like no one would ever hurt him, and yet at the same time, his heart was yearning for a man who would never look at him with love.
Nour was angry.
He was furious and he wanted to screw Grant over and over till there wasn't much left of the man. He wanted to fuck up that pretty reputation that Grant always threw in his face as if to tell him that he was always going to be worthless to him.
It was cruel, what was happening but Nour knew he didn't have that many options laying around. At least not as the Acrod kingdom's mouthy omega.
He wasn't sure how to do this without screwing up his father's legacy too, but then his father would understand him, right?
"Hush now, my precious little wolf," Delbert said as he gently rubbed Nour's back, holding him closely and tightly like he didn't want the wolf to feel alone. He had sworn he would always be there for his erasthai, even if his erasthai would never choose him.
He wasn't going to interrupt what nature had in plan for them. But if Grant continued screwing up, then even the universe wouldn't stop Delbert from doing what he had to.
"It hurts… Hurts so bad. Make it stop, please," Nour said, not letting go of Delbert. It was a dangerous move, a really dangerous one, since no Lycan ever liked it when their erasthai was feeling overwhelmed and hurt.
It was like Nour was sentencing Grant to a death sentence that couldn't be reversed. Oh, but this right here was the kind of fate that he wouldn't wish for anyone, especially a Merdel twin.
But then a prince in pain and an erasthai who wanted to make things right for him, the only thing that could happen was the determination of peace and worth between the Lycan and the bastard wolf in question.
"I will… But only on one condition, my precious," Delbert said as he gently pulled Nour from the hug, to look into his puffy tired eyes.
He could see that his erasthai was tired of pretending that all of this was okay. And he didn't want Nour to pretend. He knew this was going to be challenging for him, but then it was something they had to work through too, no matter what happened along the way, no?
"What is it?" Nour asked as he rubbed his eyes. He could feel a connection with Delbert and frankly, he couldn't deny that he wanted to be here with the man and count the fucking stars till the universe let them be.
Nour knew Delbert loved and cherished him. He knew this was the kind of love that was healthy for him, but then Nour couldn't let the fact that Grant had screwed him over just slide.
He wanted to ruin the man and make sure that shit didn't go as Grant planned no matter what he did. But then how was he supposed to do that without implicating himself and hurting the people he loved?
Nour knew he needed to think and fast, but at the moment, his mind was foggy as shit and if Delbert was going to do the honors, he wouldn't stop him.
"You let me take care of you, my precious. It's the only way to keep my Lycan from tearing Grant into untraceable pieces. He hurt you more than once and I can't have that happening again.
"I won't stop you if you want to defend other wolves. Let me defend you. Let me take care of you… Let me love you, even if I have to do it from a distance. I am okay with that, as long as the smile on your face stays.
"As long as you don't shed a tear again, and as long as you don't go to bed feeling like shit because of a man who doesn't deserve you. Even if I don't have to be there physically, I will make sure you have all the support you need.
"You will always have Anhora to look after you when I'm not there. Farah, Ferhat, and my wife will also take care of you. If you do that, then I will make it stop," Delbert said and Nour chuckled.
A part of him had expected this, given Lycans claimed erasthais only once in their lives, and he knew he was Delbert's erasthai.
It was interesting how he, a broken prince, was the choice of a man with so much power and rage that could wipe out the entire midlands, and all Nour had to do was just ask. But then he wouldn't fight it this time.
He couldn't be the one hurting again which was why as he looked into the eyes of the Merdel twin, he knew he had made his choice.
"Anything you want me to do, I will. Just make it stop," Nour said defeatedly and Delbert just pecked him on the lips before pulling him into a hug again. He was like a starved man who wanted the best for his erasthai, and frankly, he wasn't going to fight their connection either.
"Come with me to my house, my precious. There's a room there for you. And everyone already knows you. Let me take care of you like you should. I won't stop you from going to the omega quarters since Anhora will be with you along the way.
"Just—" Delbert said and Nour interrupted him.
"Okay, but only if you feed me. I didn't eat much earlier and I know Father is worried I might get sick," Nour said and Delbert chucked. This was the first time he heard Nour address the werewolf king as his father so casually.
It was actually an improvement from earlier and it made the Lycan warrior understand that the young wolf just needed someone to hold him, and love him wholly without endangering him.
It would be a hard talk with Grant being the enforcer, but then Delbert was a lycan with an erasthai, and he would do everything possible to make sure his erasthai was safe. No one, not even the king would ever be able to stop him anyway.
"Of course, my precious. I have a lot of food for you," Delbert said, his voice filled with love as he looked at his erasthai one more time. This little wolf was his undoing and frankly, he wasn't complaining.
He had gotten the prettiest mate in the universe and he wouldn't let the damned enforcer try to fuck that up for him. He would keep him safe regardless. And anyone who had an issue with that, would have the mad Lycans in Acrod to deal with.
"Let's go home, my love," Delbert said as he created a portal and went through it with Nour.
