Chapter 16 - 16

Sighing deeply Brandon didn't want to go see his dad. He couldn't stand the country and ever since he picked up the street life there had been tension between him and his father. It had been almost ten years since they last seen one another, so it was no telling how his father would react. Taking one more slow deep breath Brandon's eyes begun to glow as he transitioned into his were-bull state. As his body expanded two horns grew out of his head and black fur covered his body followed by his feet becoming hooves and a tail popping out. Gaining the rest of the features as he completed the transformation Brandon released smoke out his nose. Quickly stretching his body Brandon pushed off his backfoot fleeting towards his dad's house.

Somewhere in Hawaii

Sitting Indian style John focused on the sensations that came from King who swam deep in the ocean and Tiger who flew high above the clouds. Looking through their eyes he could see all the ripples in spaces and the make of all the molecules that embodies the earth. Thinking of a way to use this new awareness he called his Dragons telepathically "King, Tiger come and join me I have an idea I want to test. Leaping up out of the water like a dolphin, King wings sprouted out giving him control of his landing. Spiraling downwards Tiger took her place next to John.

"Lets go back to the island" John said standing up on the water.

Mr. Smalls house

"What are you doing here boy!" Mr. Small said firmly with a hint of an attitude in his voice.

"Hey to you to Pops" Brandon replied, rubbing his head ready for whatever his dad might throw at him.

"I can't believe you have found time for me and my rural lifestyle." Mr. Smalls remarked.

"Really Pops. I didn't come here to argue."

"Then why is it did you come, because I know it isn't to help with the farm?" Mr. Smalls asked with his back turned to his son.

Releasing a sigh Brandon rubbed his hands over his face. Ignoring the fact that his dad wouldn't even look at him. "I came because of this young boy I believe he might be Red Jacket material."

"What would you know of Red Jacket Material" Mr. Smalls said finally turning around and looking at his son he poked Brandon's belly. "It seems the only thing you know about is eating. Do you even workout anymore."

"Yea Pops everyday just like how you taught me. I'm not the only animal in the concrete Jungle. I must make sure that I am on my toes at all times."

Allowing a tiny smile to creep on his face Mr. Smalls looked Brandon in the eyes. "What make you believe that he is Scarlet Letter material."

"He was able to detect that I wasn't human."

"Is that it?" Mr. Smalls said turning around. "Why did you come waste my time."

"Pops I was hiding my presence. Even more it felt as if I was drawn to him. I know this wasn't just any kind of mishap."

"Umhm and why did you come to me?" Mr. Smalls asked.

"Because I knew you could get him in Provenience. I mean he doesn't know anything of the supernatural world."

"Why does that concern, me?" Mr. Smalls replied as he started back digging.

"Because you will keep him from being like me."

Thrusting his shovel in the ground Mr. Smalls let out a sigh. "Alright fine. But I bought some land in South Carolina and the soil needs tilling." Glancing up at his son with a smirk he said. "And guess who is doing it."

"Fuck" Brandon mumbled.

"Watch your mouth boy."

"My fault Pops. Is the equipment already there."

"Nope!" Mr. Smalls said with a great big smile imagining, putting his son to work already.

"Let me guess we leave at sunrise." Brandon said rubbing the back of his neck at the thought of having to put in work.

"You know it and make sure you're on time"

"Speaking of on time." Brandon said pulling out his phone and answering it. "What's good lil homie."

"None much I was calling like you told me. You aren't busy are you." John asked.

"Naw lil homie you actually called at the right time. I'm ova hea' wit' my pops and he wanna meet you." Brandon replied.

"Alright where at?"

"Actually, we will have to be here by sunrise tomorrow. Can you meet me at the corner sto' by Chrystal hize."

"No prob do I need to bring anything?" John asked.

"Naw just be on time."

"Yes sir."

"Aite Ill hit ya lata, be safe" Brandon said hanging up the phone.

"So, is that the only reason you have come here?" Mr. Smalls asked.

"Naw Pops I was hoping we could catch up."

"Well my schedule is busy, but I could use a hand." Mr. Smalls replied handing Brandon his shovel.

Back in Hawaii

"I think I got it now." John said creating yet another clone of himself out of water. "I'm ready."

Now in human form King stood five foot nine with braids and a cocky built while Tiger had long blondish hair and blue eyes with yellowish red skin. Releasing his circagen John and his clone brandished their swords.

"Follow me" Tiger told King through telepathy advancing on John.

Swinging his sword diagonally the clone missed as Tiger danced around him. Launching in to strike Tiger, John spun around falling backwards as King tried to blindside him. Laying on his back John used his two swords like scissors to cut off King's approaching arm. Turning his arm into water the swords slid pass. Stretching his arm out King grabbed John by the neck.

Using the Kraken technique to fend off Tiger the clone projected one of the tentacles toward John grabbing him by the ankle reeling him away from Kings next blow. Slashing through the clone tentacle Tiger and King switched opponents. "For…" John tried to create a barrier in between him and Tiger before her punch connected.

Wind spiraling around her fist Tiger punched John in his solar plexus. Feeling the million slices of the wind from her punch both his clothes and the boulder his back slammed into were ripped in shreds and fell to the ground. Naked John lost all focus causing his clone to turn into water.

Swinging at the air King turned to the now indecent John. Walking up to him he asked, "What happened me and your clone just started to exchange blows."

"I think he have become embarrassed from the lack of clothing" Tiger commented.

"This aint funny" John remarked cupping himself.

"You do realize we are the only ones around here and we aren't human?" King asked. Understanding King's point John removed his hands allowing himself to hang freely. "And another thing we are magic why didn't you just materialize new ones."

"If I knew how I would've" John said a little annoyed.

"Ooooh I can help." Tiger yelled like a little child. Enveloping John in wind once it died down, he was covered in clothes. Bursting into laughter from the small and tight clothes John now wore King thought he looked ridiculous in the extra colorful attire.

Mugging King John told him to stop laughing. Snickering a few more times Kings said, "I'm sorry father but you look like an earth female."

Releasing a sound of irritation John told him to fix it. Standing attentive and nodding his head King transitioned the clothes to mimic the ones John wore at first. "Father you really must get more in touch with your Dragon side for magic flow in us like water in a river."

"That's the point I'm human I understand the elements more than Dragons."

"Understand? You can't understand" Tiger remarked. "It's just simply being you need to accept the fact that you are Dragon just as much as you are human."

"Look…" John sighed. "are we going to finish training or what?" he asked eager to change the subject.

"You might not want to hear this, but you need to accept it. Being double minded will only hinder you from reaching your full potential. Your no longer human or dragon but spirit. The faster you accept this, the better. Right Tiger."

Turning to King she replied. "Sorry I wasn't paying attention I was staring at the pretty birdie." Gazing over at John, she said. "Why don't you like being dressed in colors like the birdie."

Taking a deep breath John ignored both Dragons creating three more clones. Seeing the seriousness in his eyes both King and Tiger readied themselves for a fight.
