The characters in "THE EIGHT DESCENDANTS".

I created this summary in the middle of serializing as there are so many characters in the story and it might be confusing for new readers.

This might contain spoilers.

- Eight Descendants:

1. Hua Jinshui : the sole disciple and the descendant of the Main Guardian Moying (Eagle Fiend) and the illegitimate son of the ruthless previous leader of Yumen Sect.

2. Huang Yu : the descendant of Chailang (Wild Wolf), the second son of the Huang Family from Luoyang City, he was the one tasked to gather all eight descendants.

3. Lin Jixuan : the descendant of Xiezhang (Bloody Palm), the son of Lin Family from Wuling City, a troublemaker young man, and bully.

4. Qin Liangjie : the descendant of Menggui (Dream Angel). He was once expecting to have a normal life instead of fulfilling his master's last wish.

5. Liuxin : the descendant of Shuiyao (Water Fairy), the daughter of Prince Yi / Xianjing Wang, and a sweet little sister for the other descendants.

6. Li Qian : the descendant of Ducao (Poison Grass), first son of Li Taiyi (Healer Li) who was a military commander once before leaving the capital and staying in a remote village.

7. Liao Xian : the descendant of Baigu (White Corpse), the owner of Mangren Gong (Blind Palace), the smartest among the descendants

8. Zhu Baique : the descendant of Huling (Fox Spirit), an orphan left by her mother in Haitang Jian Pai.

- Huofeng Lou (Fire and Wind Tower), Anhui Province.

1. Xu Qiao : Jinshui's love interest and the female lead, the fifth daughter of the owner of Huofeng Lou. She had a great influence on Jinshui's character development throughout the story.

2. Xu Chenghai : Xu Qiao's father, the owner of Huofeng Lou.

3. Xiang Yiyi : Xu Qiao's mother and Xu Chenghai's first wife.

4. Bao Xinfei : nicknamed Xuehua Zhi Shou (The Snowy Palm), Xu Chenghai's second wife and Xu Qiao's stepmother, initially disliked but later became her legal guardian and teacher.

5. Yang Lei, Mu Chaisheng, Jinfei & Jinguang : Xu Chenghai's disciples.

6. Huang Lian : Huang Yu's younger sister, handed to Huofeng Lou and became Bao Xinfei's student.

- Haitang Jian Pai (Haitang Sword Clan)

1. Yuan Wancui : the current leader. She hated the heretic sects and Jinshui.

2. Yunhe, Yunxi, Yunli dan Yunxue : the second, third, seventh, and eighth disciples.

3. Nan Xinglie : Li Jue's wife, taken by Bao Xinfei as a new student, was punished after saving Zhu Baique.

4. Shuang'er & Xiu'er : the twin girl who almost becomes new students.

- Jianyin Bang (Sword Palm Party)

1. Zhang Zheliang, often called by his title Liangtian Jianshen (The Bright Sword) – The Sword God, Jianyin Bang's previous leader. He initially befriended Wu Yaowei due to their shared interest in classic martial arts manuals, but they had a different path.

2. Zhang Xianghui - Zhang Zheliang's first disciple, was killed when his junior betrayed his master.

3. Xie Tianhu – the second disciple, his greed for martial arts manual made him betray his own master and kill his own friend.

4. Wu Tianqi – third disciple, Han Budian's birth mother.

5. Zhong Shaoyan – fourth disciple and Jianyin Bang current leader, Han Budian's master.

6. Xun Tianyi – fifth disciple.

7. Yue Songdai – sixth disciple, a young orphan he taught for only a few years. Liuxin's love interest.

8. Han Budian - Zhong Shaoyan's overly smart disciple, groomed to be the future leader of Jianyin Bang.

- Wansui Gu (literary translated to Long Live Valley, but we better call it Poison Valley)

1. Zeng Baifeng : the real owner of Wansui Gu, Zhang Zheliang's other friend.

2. Zhou Sangong : his second disciple and the current 'ruler' of Wansui Gu.

3. Zhou Xiangnu : Zhou Sangong's first daughter, known for her signature nine-tailed whip weapon.

4. Yanzi : second daughter, a mischievous girl. Lin Jixuan's love interest.

5. Huang Zhe : Huang Yu's older brother who intensely envies him.

6. Duanmeng : Zeng Baifeng's loyal servant.

- Yi Wangfu (The Prince's Residence)

1. Prince Yi / Xianjing Wang : Liuxin's father, holds control of the imperial army, Shuiyao's husband, and the father of Menggui's daughter.

2. Qingyi : Menggui and Xianjing Wang's daughter, Liuxin's half-sister. Her father didn't give her imperial status, and she stayed at her father's home as a servant.

3. Wang Chun & Sima Yisheng : Xianjing Wang's main bodyguards.

4. Yuanxia : Liuxin's trusted eunuch.

5. General Ti : Xianjing Wang's trusted military advisor.

- Liangshan Liumo (Six Demons of Liangshan)

1. Mengpo : the leader, a highly skilled old woman.

2. Ma Yaolun : the second member, liked to torture but not to kill. He was injured by Zhu Baique's father and became mentally ill.

3. Ma Yongtao : Ma Yaolun's son who replaced his father's position as the second member.

4. Wang Wei – a thief

5. Zu Yeniang – master of disguise and a trickster.

6. Li Baixun – a pervert.

7. Fuchang Long – he hated monks and priests.

- Baiyu Shan (White Jade Mountain)

1. Yunian, real name Bai Qiuyi. The owner of Baiyu Shan, Gu Qiongnan's wife and Gu Chenhui's mother. The female lead in the prequel and the only character who played a role in all trilogy.

2. Tongjian Leishen (The Bronze Sword) Wu Yaowei : Jinshui's father and the previous leader of Yumen sect, a ruthless man and rather sadistic. He was deeply injured by Zhang Zheliang in a duel and died soon after.

3. Gu Chenhui : Wu Yaowei's wife and Jinshui's stepmother. She was the one who gave orders to the guardians to collect their descendants after her husband's death.

4. Shuqin : shengnu (sacred maiden) prepared for Jinshui.

5. Miaoqin : previous generation of shengnu, prepared for Wu Yaowei.

6. Hanleng Shuangyin (The Cold Moon) Lengshui & Hanxue : Yu Nian's disciples.

7. Eight Guardians : Moying, Chailang, Baigu, Docao, Xiezhang, Huling, Menggui & Shuiyao.

- Others

1. Yin Xiuchen : Liao Xian's fiancée, a blind girl.

2. Shangguan Ruyin : Qin Liangjie's wife, a regular village woman.

3. Li Taiyi (Healer Li): Li Qian and Li Jue's father. He can be assumed as Zeng Baifeng's first disciple.

4. Li Jue : Li Qian's one-armed brother, Nan Xinglie's husband.

5. Lin Tongtian : Lin Jixuan's father. A former imperial guard and the leader of Wuyuan Dian (Hall of No Revenge).

6. Lin Xiaoyan : Lin Tongtian's daughter and Lin Jixuan's younger sister.

7. Huang Weiqun & Huang Furen : Huang Zhe, Huang Yu, and Huang Lian's parents, the leader of Hailang Biaoju (Marine Wave Expedition) di Luoyang City.

8. Huan Jiaozheng : The leader of Yongjun Hui (Everlasting Association) who initiated the attack on Yumen headquarters after Wu Yaowei's death.

9. Li Zuyang : Huan Jiaozheng's second-in-command.

10. Huan Zhaoyu : Huan Jiaozheng's son. He liked Liuxin but was forced to marry Qingyi later.

11. Wang Ruanya : A traitor.

12. Xi Xiaofeng : the owner of Longshan Zhuang and the creator of Concubines Tomb.

13. Shen Xiru : Xi Xiaofeng's subordinate.

14. Yaoyao : the daughter of a former hall master, recruiting members for the new Yumen.

15. Lao Diaoyan & Lao Guishou : the one-legged and one-eyed, Jinshui's followers.

16. Xiaoshan and Xiaohu : Huang Yu's well-trained servants.
