Paul frantically walked towards Regina's bedroom and found her sitting on the couch. A book rested on her thighs but she was not reading it. Instead, she was looking out the window, there was a void expression on her face. Her hair was styled and her makeup pristine.
It did not seem like an awkward moment just happened at all. He cleared his throat to announce his presence, his hands were in the pockets of his jeans. The situation was tense, and he was not sure how to handle it. He had never experienced anything like this. A woman had never told him that she loved him. He did not remember once.
