"Wren is....Pregnant!! how.....?"
Qu Wren froze over in shock.... he glanced down at his report with his eyes wide open. "it... can't be possible right?" his heart started beating faster and his eyes started tearing up. "Tell me Hachin, this is not true, right?" he anxiously glanced at Hachin.
The white-haired oyster was also shocked, but he controlled his feelings well. He patted Wren's shoulders. "There must be some mistake. How could you be possible? You've never even had a lover before."
Wren nodded. "Yea, I have never even had a lover before. How is it possible for me to be pregnant, huh?" he peered at the little assistant.
The assistant was also confused. He took the scroll from him and looked at the tag. "Its red, the doctor said red is Wren's and blue is Hachin's,"
"But.... but this report might be wrong." Wren expectantly looked at him to tell him that all of this was a lie, that this report was fake.
The little assistant nervously looked at him. "Wren, this is the report that doctor gave me. If you have any doubts, you can clarify it with him when he comes back in the evening."
"Then we shall do that." Hachin hugged Wren's trembling shoulders and took him out of there. He took the report from his hand and pushed it into his shirt. "Don't worry Wren, there might be some fault."
"hmm..." the pink-haired oyster silently swam with him.
Hachin did not know how to even comfort him now. He just hugged him slightly and patted his back. "Everything will be fine, don't fret so much,"
Qu Wren nodded. He gently placed a hand on his stomach. "There is a child in me... Hachin, I really can't believe this." the tears he had been holding back dripped down his cheeks. Unlike any other creatures, their tears were not water rather the pearl residue in their body. Slowly, a silver line formed below his cheeks.
"Oh Wren, please don't cry. Everything will work out. So please don't cry, it hurt my heart so much." he hugged him as tight as he could.
Wren gently pushed him away and wiped his tears. "No, I am not sad, rather.... I am somehow happy. I don't know why. Am I crazy Hachin? Aren't I supposed to be shocked and sad?"
Hachin lost his words. He nodded. "Let's go home now we shall have a talk with your family,"
"hmm..." along the way Wren gently held his stomach with a wide smile on his face. "Do you think it will be a girl or a boy?" he happily whispered to him.
"I—I don't know..... it's too early to say that," Hachin awkwardly whispered. To think that Wren was pregnant with someone else's baby angered him so much, but.....seeing his happy smile he could not say anything else. Suddenly, a small thought arose.
He paused and pulled Wren closer. "Wren, why don't we raise the baby together?"
Wren nodded cheerfully. "Yeah, that would be great. You would make a great uncle he-he, this is so cool. I can't believe I'm pregnant," he shouted and swam swiftly back home.
Hachin, on the other hand, stood there with his remaining words stuck in his mouth. 'As a family.... I wanted to raise the child as a family..... oh well, I'll wait until the child is born, then, maybe there is a chance that we can be together.' his mood lifted immediately.
"Hey slow down, it's not good for the child!!" he swam to him and held his shoulders. "You should be careful,"
"Oh okay," Wren happily held his hand. "Wait till I tell my brothers. They are going to freak out. My mother probably would be happy to have a grandchild."
They arrived at his house much sooner than expected. Wren happily hopped in.
His mother anxiously ran over to him, "darling what did the doctor say?"
Wren hugged his short mother to his chest and slightly twirled around. "Mother, you are gonna become a grandmother."
"huh?" she placed a hand on his forehead. "You are not sick..... Darling, are you sleep deprived?"
"No, mommy I am telling you I am gonna be a daddy," he happily chuckled out loud.
With her eyes wide open, jade glanced up at her baby son. "Oh my god, Wren, what did you do? Who is she? Which family is she? I will go talk to them about your marriage immediately." she let her son sit down and ran to the door.
"Mum, wait," Wren caught her before she left. "There is no girl," he mysteriously smirked.
Jade blinked at him. "Then how are you.... Wren, did you pick up some sea creature again? I am telling you this is the last time I will tolerate this. We can't have them as pets."
"Whoa, when did I do that?"
"When you were ten, you brought home a darn blue ringed poisonous octopus and claimed it was your baby. You didn't pick up one again, right? Diago is clearly allergic to them,"
"No mum, the baby is here." he pulled his mother's hand and placed it carefully on his stomach. "I am pregnant,"
