The next morning Qu wren cultivated by himself. He could feel the fire going out of control now and then but he did not want to bother Hachin anymore. Their friendship had long died and buried, now all that was left was lingering memories. He glanced at the red pin on his table.
He picked it up and gently caressed it. "I really don't understand him at all,"
Hachin had been his friend for a long time. Almost ninety years. They met when they were just a floating dust size. It was the bond they formed so young. Even some other creatures were surprised that they were able to keep their friendship for so long.
Not long after, something happened. Hachin weirdly started avoiding him. At first he had thought it was just something he had done to upset him. But as time went on, he found out that Hachin had turned cold to him.
It broke his heart. He went over begging him to explain, but the white-haired oyster just sobbed loudly and told him to leave.
Dejected, Qu Wren left him alone for a few years, thinking that everything will go back to normal after a while. It did for a year or so. Hachin regained his happy smile and reacted normal to him, for a while Wren was more than happy about.
But destiny played a cruel joke on them.
Hachin's family suddenly passed away on a secret mission to the surface.
Something completely broke inside Hachin from then on. He would never even look at him. Their friendship died out just like this.
Just like now, Qu Wren tiredly closed his eyes. 'I thought we grew closer these two months but..... I think it was all in my mind,' he sighed and rolled over in his bed.
A slight knock was heard, and the door creaked open.
"Leave me alone," he whined.
"Wren dear, you can't talk to mother like that," a soft tone chided him. His mother walked over to him and softly caressed his rogue pink hair. "Tell mother what's wrong dear,"
"I don't wanna," he turned over and away from her.
"Little one, are you still upset with Hachin?"
Qu Wren sat up immediately. "I am not!! Why would I care about that pretentious guy?"
Jade slapped his forehead softly. "Don't talk about him like that, Wren."
"But he is. He acted like he was friend but now... he doesn't even want to get close to me," Qu Wren mumbled hugging his mother's waist.
"Oh baby, I think you might have made him uncomfortable,"
Wren glanced down at her. "What do you mean?"
"You silly little thing, you are always so touchy with people. Hachin is not a person who likes physical contact much. Let me guess did you huge him like this or...."
Qu Wren sat up straight. "I have hugged him before as well to control his ice fever but he never complained,"
"That was when he was sick; did you try to hug him when he was not?"
Wren nodded with a pout. "Nothing's wrong with a hug, right? Why does he have to be so sensitive?"
His mother clearly explained that some people would like to have their boundaries.
The little pink oyster listened carefully. After hearing the complete explanation, he was slightly happy. 'Then he does not hate me, right?' he got out of bed and changed into comfortable shorts and shirt.
"Where are you going?"
He glanced back with a huge smile. "To meet Hachin, of course." He happily hopped over to his house. But just outside the door, He smelled something weird. His stomach started to roll. He retched uncontrollably on the front door.
Hachin who has about to leave to meet Wren saw this, and he was stunned. "Wren!! What happened?!!"
Qu Wren shook his head and continued retching his stomach's contents.
"We should go to the doctor," Hachin gripped his hand tightly and sling him over his shoulder. Wren was slightly heavier than him, but with his Qi gathering stage cultivation, he was able to move him easily.
Along the way, Qu Wren kept puking. Seeing this, even Hachin's stomach rolled. He held his flabby stomach and controlled the urge to puke. 'I can't be weak now. And I CAN'T PUKE IN FRONT OF WREN!!' he closed his eyes and swallowed the bile.
"Hachin..." Wren tiredly mumbled.
"Wren, just wait a little we can get to the doctors soon." Hachin hugged his waist and literally dragged him over to the Clam doctor.
The doctor checked him up thoroughly. "I'll give you your report tomorrow."
"What's wrong? is it too bad?" Hachin whispered anxiously.
"No, his conditions are unique. I need to talk to the elders to conform it," the doctor mumbled and subtly his keen eyes focused on him, "Hachin, come here. I will check you as well,"
"N—no, I am felling fine,"
"You are saying that with your pale face? Come here kid," the doctor did a check up on him as well. But he kept frowning throughout the process.
Qu Wren who tiredly glanced at this wordily whispered, "Is he sick?"
"No, yes, I'm not sure. I—I need to talk to the elders as soon as I can!!" the doctor without a work ran out of his clinic leaving behind a stunned Wren and Hachin.
