Maverick was in a long thought.
"Leave her if she's not in love with you. But if she did, I think you should speak to her, rather than running away. It'll help you make a decision."
"Thank you."
"Is it Sta~~" She stopped. Maverick didn't answer and bowed his head. "I don't know what trouble you get into. But I think Stacey already likes you."
"It's what I am afraid of, V."
"Make sure that nothing bad happened to her, or else… I'll get back to you."
Maverick took her threat seriously. He also didn't know what would happen if he put her in danger. He loved her now and maybe it's better if he indeed let her go and be with someone who didn't have a messy life.
"Mave, it's not like I don't like you for my Stacey. The truth is, I really like you for her. She's happy with you and if she loves you, I'll let the two of you. I am happy as long as my best friend is happy."
