Wang Jingyuan wandered aimlessly through the streets of the Capital. She passed the vendor from whom she usually bought Shao Wenbo's mung bean cakes, who called out cheerily to her: "Miss, how were the mung bean cakes today? Are you returning to buy more?"
"Ah, the cakes were great, but I think I've had enough for today," answered Wang Jingyuan.
"Nonsense. You can never have too many cakes. Here, miss, take another one. It's on the house." The enthusiastic vendor handed her a mung bean cake. "Come again soon!"
"Thank you. I will definitely come by in a few days." Wang Jingyuan continued her walk, munching on the mung bean cake. It was soft and sweet, though not as sweet as some of the other cakes. The mung bean flavor was strong. It was good, but she still would prefer something like osmanthus cake over this.
