Repeatedly, Calista turned to Darren. "Where are you will taking me?"
Darren didn't answer. He glanced at the woman, the corners of his lips raised.
Calista growled in annoyance. "Say."
Once again, Darren glanced at the woman. "To a place where you can feel safe and comfortable."
Calista's eyes turned deadly sharp. "If you dare to act not polite. I won't forgive you."
Darren chuckled a little. "No." He increased the speed of his car until he came to a towering gate. Beside the entrance, there was a building marked Gilbert Mansion.
Calista gasped. "You brought me to your mansion?"
"Yes." Darren helps the woman get off the car. "Careful." When Calista's foot is on the floor, she feels pain. The man wanted to help her, but the woman refused firmly. "I can walk alone, Mr. Gilbert."
"I believe you can't walk. The wound on you is severe. Let me carry you to the living room."
